Neil Navarra Moneypennys resident takes time out of his hectic schedule to answer a few questions for TextMi.com.

1/ How long have you been part of the Money Penny’s Team?

I’ve with the company, in various different capacities, for over 4 years. I primarily came on board as a dj, and my involvement has just increased over the years. Culminating in me now being head of events and marketing!

2/ If you had to pick a defining moment of your career what would it be and why?

I think it must be Summer 2004, I played “Lovepuppy” closing party at Cala J’ondal in Ibiza. It was late on in the season and at the end of a hard 2 weeks on the white isle for me. I was playing just as the sun was setting and the place was packed, around 2000 people. I dropped Gadgo – So Many Times (before it got commercial and rinsed) and the place went off! Everyone was clapping and cheering my name, and I got a little bit emotional and had to put my sunglasses back on…….oops! Very Emotional!

3/ How do you find House music differs in the different countries you have played in?

I think house music changes every where you go, not just country to country but in this day and age from town to town. It really is quite bazaar how your set has to be fine tuned for you location, and I some places, to such an extent.

4/ Who is your fave DJ of the moment, and of all time?

I’ve always been a huge fan of Dimitri from Paris, his fusion of house and disco, new and old, has always floated my boat! Also Ron Carroll, his charisma behind the decks is unsurpassed. Singing whilst he’s playing and making it look so easy………I’d say, without exception, he is the coolest person in the world ever!

5/ How long have you been on TextMi.com? What is your favourite feature of the site?

I’ve been on textmi around a year now, my favourite feature, I’d say is the ability to get feedback from the people who pay to come and listen to me, nothing like having your ego massaged! No but seriously constructive criticism is always gratefully received and taken on board!
