On Saturday August 9th Textmi.com were invited to the evening
showing of Afrika Afrika!, the show that has already thrilled two
million people world-wide.

  We went to the show with real excitement & anticipation & were not
disappointed!

The scale of the event and plethora of visuals were evident from the moment we
walked into the tented palace at The Trafford Centre where we were
greeted by the door hosts before  walking through to the large public
areas serving a range of African dishes and drinks.

  Then on to the big stage - live music and over 100 talented performing
artists, singers & musicians from 17 different African nations combine  
to create
a truly stunning show.

  From the offset the show gets better & better by the minute. However,
even amongst the consistently jaw dropping feats, if we had to pick a
favourite it would have to be South African Nokulunga Buthelezi, who
twists & turns her body into the most extraordinary shapes & positions.

  Sadly we hear so much about war & famine in the African nations.
But this show is a great chance to see what Africa really
has to offer, from the comfort of Manchester. And with all that we
are hearing about "the credit crunch" this is well worth
escaping to for a few hours & forgetting it all.
