Christina Hendricks Puts It in Drive
"Mad Men" star Christina Hendricks is joining Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan in action thriller Drive . To be directed by Nicolas Winding Refn ( Bronson ), the film also stars Albert Brooks, Bryan Cranston and Oscar Isaacs. Principal photography begins September 25 in Los Angeles for the film, from Bold Films, OddLot Entertainment and Marc Platt Productions. Based on James Sallis' crime novel of the same name and adapted by scribe Hossein Amini, Drive revolves around a Hollywood stunt drive (Gosling) who moonlights as a getaway driver in L.A.'s criminal underworld. Jeremy Renner spilled the beans to Kultur (via Twitchfilm ) that he and Noomi Rapace ( The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and sequels) will star in Paramount's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters . Tommy Wirkola ( Dead Snow ) is set to direct the film, which takes place 15 years after the siblings' incident at the gingerbread house. The two are now specialized bounty hunters looking to put down the cackling black-hat set. Wirkola wrote the script with Dante Harper. Drafthouse Films to Distribute Four Lions
Alamo Drafthouse CEO and Founder Tim League announced today that he is expanding the renowned Alamo Drafthouse brand into film distribution under the banner Drafthouse Films. The first film to release under the new label will be Chris Morris's new comedy Four Lions . The Dark Tower to Become a Film Trilogy and TV Series

Schwentke to Direct Reynolds in R.I.P.D.
Universal Pictures has hired Red helmer Robert Schwentke to direct the supernatural action film R.I.P.D. (short for "Rest In Peace Department"), based on Peter Lenkov's Dark Horse comic about a police department of the dead. Ryan Reynolds signed last spring to star in the film, centered on two officers -- one recently dead and one who's been dead for hundreds of years. Local newstation WTOV9 has provided a look at some of the Weirton, WV locations being transformed into sets and background for Super 8 . Chief among them is the Marland Heights Community Church, which is being converted to a schoolhouse (apparently called Lillians), for the shoot. Ronald Reagan Biopic in the Works
The Hollywood Reporter says that the story of Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States, is in development. The $30 million movie, titled Reagan , is set for release late next year and will be based on two best-selling biographies by Paul Kengor: "The Crusader" and "God and Ronald Reagan." Mark Joseph, who optioned the books four years ago, is co-producing with Ralph Winter ("X-Men" films, Planet of the Apes ) and Jonas McCord ( Ray , Holes , The Passion of The Christ ) wrote the script. Reagan begins with the 1981 assassination attempt and tells Reagan's story through flashbacks and flash-forwards. New Three Musketeers and Source Code Release Dates
Summit Entertainment tells us they have scheduled Duncan Jones' sci-fi thriller Source Code for an April 15, 2011 release. That's the same date that Dimension Films is opening Scream 4 and 20th Century Fox is releasing Water for Elephants . The Moon director's film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan and Jeffrey Wright. The film is about an experimental government program, in which a soldier is forced to live and relive a harrowing train bombing with the woman he loves until he can determine who's responsible for it. Summit had previously scheduled Paul W.S. Anderson's The Three Musketeers for an April 15 release but has pushed the date back six months to October 14, 2011. The Cold Light of Day Starts Principal Photography
Principal photography began for Summit Entertainment and Intrepid Pictures' action-thriller The Cold Light of Day on September 6th and will continue through November 13th.
